“Maegan was an outstanding research assistant whose initiative, organization, and creative leadership elevated multiple projects in our program. She played a pivotal role in organizing the Design/Shift design-a-thon, coordinating students, mentors, and nonprofit partners with remarkable poise and reliability. Maegan also collaborated with me on Dogma, a project that went on to earn a dozen national and international awards, where her concept development, visual systems thinking, and relentless attention to detail were essential to its success. In addition, she helped direct the ISU Brew Lab branding—guiding strategy, refining identity assets, and ensuring consistent, polished rollout across touchpoints. Maegan is a rare blend of designer, project manager, and problem-solver; any team would be fortunate to have her.”
Patrick Finley, Assistant Professor of Graphic Design ISU
Maegan is the type of designer who sees the side of a project that didn’t cross anyone else’s mind. The direction and advice she would give our students would leave everyone contemplating for a while. It was a pleasure getting to work so closely, watch her work, and learn from her!
Nadine Khoury, Graduate Student ISU

Design Shift - Organizing, and Coordinating
THE PROJECT: Design Shift is a philanthropic design-a-thon where local design professionals mentor teams of graduate and undergraduate graphic design students to provide creative services to deserving nonprofit organizations throughout central Iowa. This event is sponsored by Iowa State University’s Design College. The 2025 Design Shift included over 100 students and mentors with 17 different nonprofits.
MY ROLE: For the 2025 Design Shift, the first year, I was the assistant organizer, as part of this role I was responsible for contacting clients and students, organizing day of events, coordinating with stakeholders, and speaking with news outlets.
Brew Lab - Branding Strategy & Art Direction
Over the course of a semester, Iowa State University’s Graphic Design Practicum course was responsible for rebranding the on-campus brewery, speakeasy, and cider mill. My role included art directing and guiding students through the process of developing a cohesive brand identity.
The final branding elements went on to win multiple awards.
